After 9 years of problems, BEAST or B2ST can finally release a song using their original name again

For the first time in 9 years, K-pop group Highlight has just released an album using their original name, Beast, again after having to use the name Highlight due to copyright issues.
The new album, titled “From Real to Surreal,” released on the evening of April 28, marks the first album in nine years that the four-member band has released under the name Beast, their original name when they debuted in 2009. The album comes about a year after “Switch On” and is the 20th studio album of their career.
Focusing on the group members' promise to stay connected with fans in both the real and imaginary worlds, the new mini-album features a total of four songs, including the lead track "Chains" and other tracks such as "Endless Ending", "Good Day to You", and "Follow Me".
It is worth recalling that the group, which was first formed in 2009, originally had a total of 6 members and was called Beast, but after parting ways with Cube Entertainment in 2017, they no longer had the right to use their old name. Later, the members of the group formed their own new company called Around Us Entertainment and began new activities under the name Hightlight.
In 2016, before they started their new company and name, former member Hyun-seung also left the group, and in 2019, member Jun-hyung also left another group after being implicated in the Burning Sun scandal.
It wasn't until April of last year that the remaining four members of the group, Doojoon, Yoseob, Gikwang, and Dongwoon, reached an agreement with Cube Entertainment to use the name Beast again.
